“you are a bounty hunter.” those are the words i wrote two years ago on february 24th, 2021—the day i first announced this story. it’s not the day i posted the first demo, nor the day i uploaded the twine version of the game, but i celebrate this as my anniversary because it’s when i took a giant leap of faith and said fuck it, i’m putting this out in the world. nearly two years later, i have no regrets. i’m eternally grateful for all the love this story gets. all the ratings, all the comments on itch and the asks in my inbox—they’re all so special to me. 

which is why, one week from today, i’ll be releasing the first part of chapter nine at 12pm EST. i’ve taken more time with this chapter than i have any other one and it pains me, but because all of you have been waiting so patiently, i thought i’d share a bit of it to celebrate. it’ll be out on patreon this sunday for those on the midnight tier and tuesday for those on the twilight tier.

it’s far from done, but i hope this short few scenes tides you over as you wait for the full thing. many of you know that i write this story for myself above all, but it’s definitely a bonus that so many of you enjoy it with me. from the bottom of my heart, thank you <3
